Console diagnostics

No power, no picture, unexpected shutdowns or an intermittent fault? Start with an assessment of the symptoms and repair options.

We diagnose problems across retro and modern consoles and handhelds, including boot failures, unstable operation, display faults and charging issues. Photos, error messages, previous repair history and a clear description of the symptoms help us narrow down the work. We explain the findings, available parts and proposed repair before proceeding. If a repair is not practical, we will discuss that with you rather than assume a replacement part will solve the issue.

What happens next

  1. Tell Texas Board Works your hardware model, its condition and the result you want. For homebrew or modding, include the firmware version and any existing modifications.
  2. Confirm the proposed work, price and shipping instructions before sending your hardware.
